Just flying home after a great experience at Kentico Connection 2011
It was great to meet lots of Kentico partners from all over Europe and beyond as well as meeting up with people who had attended Kentico Connection 2010.
Here are some of the highlights I enjoyed from the 3 day conference.
Janus Boye gave a Keynote speech on Monday morning to a packed room. He recomended that when developing Websites Kentico Partners should focus on the tasks website visitors want to complete, as well as implementing the correct analytics measurements and a great user experience. All topics I also covered in my own presentation.
Event sponsors MMT Digital gave an amazing audio visual presentation to showcase their talents while the Biznet boys from Belfast announced their new brand i3 which they hope will drive their business forward as they innovate, integrate and ignite for their customers with the latest Mobile and Web technologies
Kentico CEO Peter Palas covered some of the great features of Kentico 6 along with the Technical Leaders of the various Kentico departments.
Later in the day each of the Technical Leaders including Martin, Juraj, Miro Jakob and Jarolsav went into more depth on the Kentico features.
I was interested to hear more about Kentico Enterprise Marketing System the new online marketing platform that Kentico have released. Most interesting for me were the A/B and multivariate testing features.
These will really allow Kentico Partners and customers to put in place a conversion optimisation process which will lead to an increase in sales and leads for the businesses who choose to implement it.
Another great feature of Kentico EMS is being able to track campaigns at a granular level and will give businesses great insights into what is happening on their Websites.
On Monday evening there was an Ask the Experts session where attendees got a chance to talk directly to the Kentico technical team to get a deeper understanding of all the new features.
Day 2 was packed with more sessions on the latest Kentico CMS 6 features while some great presentations. were given byPeter Slávik (Sprinx Systems, Czech Republic), Dimitris Rakopoulos, (re|direct, Greece), Mirko Sancassani (eLogic, Italy) to show how Kentico has been implemented on some huge customer Websites.
Janus Boye presented again with some insights into the mobile market, detailing where it has been and where it might be going.
My own presentation which was written to accompany the White Paper I had written in May for Kentico was received well thankfully. You can see the Slides on Slideshare. The White Paper “How Kentico Partners Can Help Their Customers Make More Money” can be downloaded from the Kentico Website.
On the evening of the second day Kentico treated the attendees to a tour of the Staropramen brewery museum which was located close to the conference hotel.
On the third day Kentico put on training on Kentico EMS presented by the ever energetic Thom Robbins.
It was great to connect with all the Kentico Partners in Prague. Hopefully I’ll be back to attend Kentico Connection 2012.
